Vicki McCabe, RCC

Registered Clinical Counsellor

My name is Vicki McCabe and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in British Columbia. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, substance use, and post-trauma symptoms from motor vehicle accidents, among other issues. My primary approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) where I help clients to identify and challenge negative thinking patterns, as well as making changes in their behaviors such as replacing unhelpful coping strategies with helpful ones, skills training, relaxation and mindfulness exercises.
My goal in counselling is to provide you with a safe environment to feel heard and validated, as well as to give you the tools to take steps toward feeling better. I believe that pain and distress are opportunities to address current issues and to find new growth. I consider it an honor to work with you on your journey.
A member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors in good standing, I completed a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of British Columbia and a Master’s degree in Counselling
Psychology at the Adler University in Vancouver. Having been in the helping field for more than 10 years,
I have a wide range of experiences to draw from in my work with clients.
