Frequently Asked Questions
Last updated 7 November 2020
Are services covered by MSP?
Yes, most services that are a covered benefit of MSP (BC Medical Services Plan) will be provided under MSP Guidelines. If you have coverage from another province outside of BC, please contact our office as some services may not be covered under MSP reciprocal agreeement.
Are you currently taking new patients?
As of November 2020, we have approached near capacity with our family physicians.
We continue to triage our waitlist and will give a priority to patients with a chronic disease or complex care.
In the meantime, please use the registration form to add you and/or a family member to our waitlist. If you have immediate medical needs, please call our office.
Do you have patient parking?
Limited patient parking is available in our rear parking lot. Please do not double park your vehicle as you may be towed at your expense.
Street side parking is also available in front of the clinic (until 3:00PM).
There is one accessible parking spot available in the rear parking lot, please display a valid permit when parking in this spot.
Street-side parking till 3PM is strictly enforced. Please ensure your vehicle is moved prior to 3PM as the City of Burnaby may tow your vehicle.
Can I book my appointment online?
Yes. You may book general appointments online if you are a current family practice patient of ours. If you urgently require an appointment, or require assistance, please call our office.
Do you offer same day appointments?
Generally, we book our appointments a few days in advance. We do reserve same day appointment slots with most of our family physicians for urgent medical matters. If you have a urgent medical matter and require a same day appointment, please call as soon as possible as there are limited same day slots available.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Our clinic is equipped with at grade level entrance (front door) and a full size elevator. Please note, we currently do not have an automated front door. If you require any further assistance, please contact us prior to your arrival and we will accomodate to the best of our abilities.
Do you offer walk ins?
We are currently a full service family practice. If you currently do not have a family physician and require medical services, we will, to the best of our ability, book you at the earliest availability. However, there is no guarantee that we will be able to see you on the same day.
This is my first appointment, what do I need to bring/know?
We recommend all patients arrive 10-15 minutes early. Please also have your BC Services Card (formerly BC CareCard) ready upon checking in.
New patients, upon checking in, you will be asked to fill out a consent form and general intake form.
Please also bring a list of your current medications with you.
I have a form that needs to be filled by my doctor, what do I do?
